What's Actually Included in Vegas Pro Suite?

GFM wrote on 10/23/2024, 7:43 AM

Good day all,

Apologies if this is the wrong section to post.

I received an offer to upgrade to Vegas Pro Suite today for $49.99.

https://www.vegascreativesoftware.com/us/newsletter/upgrades-hidden/upgrade-vegas-pro-suite/specifications/#productMenu

This seems a bit too good to be true. I am currently using Vegas Pro 21. Will this also upgrade mt to Vegas Pro 22? It doesn't seem to say this explicitly on the page. The only programme I can identify is outright says is:

  • Mocha Vegas
  • Soundforge Pro
  • ACID Pro
  • wizrdFXSuite
  • Vegas Pro Transition Pack
  • 5 song collections
  • 5 cinema LUT packs
  • Hollywood SFX

There is a section below that states "Edit video like a text document." which I believe is a v22 functionality? So is it understood that I will be getting an upgrade to 22 implicitly? To be honest, I don't use any of these right now except SoundForge occasionally. The only reason for me to get this would be if I was automatically upgraded to Vegas Pro v22 for this low price.

Thanks in advance!

The page does say specifically "VEGAS Pro 22" in the " Software" section of the comparisson table. But maybe you should ask MAGIX themselves. This is just a user forum as far as I understand.

Wow! That seems like a deal! I assume it's for the Perpetual Suite since it doesn't say "Vegas Pro Suite 365"?

Yes, its the full suite, perpetual license. Absolutely bargain at that price.

Dang, I'm glad I didn't take the special offer last week Magix sent me for 50% off.

Wow! @GFM did you get this in the email?

I am always suspect when offers come along that are too good to be true.

Dear all,

Thank you to those who replied. I bit the bullet and bought it, and I can confirm that it does indeed include an update to Vegas Pro 22. This is pretty insane, and I was kicking myself for not updating to Pro 22 a few weeks ago when I had a $119 offer that was more than the usual $149. This is quite an insane offer and I do feel badly for those who may have bought earlier. Sure doesn't seem fair to early adopters.

SnarfConsortium wrote on 10/24/2024, 9:48 PM

@GFM its the price we pay when you early adopt. After you have been around online stores long enough you learn that it comes with getting it on that date and not waiting for the price to change.

I early adopted into VP20 in it's first couple of weeks of release and have since held back on doing that again with Magix products as those first few months were filled with frustrations at most turns for a product I paid full price for. Much happier waiting to buy it at a discount once it's a better product with a few of the bugs ironed out.

It is a good deal indeed, just note that you loose the cloud services like speech to text, and text to speech, etc.. after one year, and have less hours/volume to spend than the subscription variant.

There will always be sale prices on software over the period of the version. I never look back. I think about the projects I've completed with it over the last couple of months. It's like buying computer hardware. Wait long enough, and there will be a sale price on the hardware.
