I have just woken up to the fact that MTS is no longer supported in vegas platinum. I did not even realize that I had MTS until today. My Panasonic FZ200 simply offers me AVCHD or MP4 with no mention anywhere obvious that the AVCHD files are in fact MTS wrapped.
So I have 2 questions:
1) My camera alternatively offers MP4. I burn Blue Ray discs. Will MP4 be a suitable HD setting for burning of Blue Ray ?
2) I have a year's worth of family video sitting in MTS files. Can I convert them without loss of quality ? And if so, what is the optimum format ?
