No, you can't do that with VMS. One thought is to create the individual text elements in a photo editor as seperate files then place them on the timeline (different tracks as needed) using simple fade in/out transitions to make the appear/disappear.

BluffTitler may be able to do that:

As for embedding, use the directions found HERE.

YouTube should have many videos showing what the Text Generator can do. But don't look at the Pro Titler ones as they are only available with Vegas Pro. You can also logk at the Help files or the Help > Show Me How tutorials.

Up until 1:30 in it seemed you could do at least most of this with a combination of multiple text tracks and keyframing of the text location and properties. Not to say it would be easy, and it would take some time and patience, but could be done...

Sorry if there were more advanced text effects beyond that time... lost my attention span after that point!

I may have spoken too soon. It prolly can be done but it would take a lot of work. The text that slides in and out will be the most difficult.

Click on the Media Generators tab, drag the Default Text down to the timeline, adjust the placement, properties and effects as needed. Close the text event and click on the Pan/Crop icon to rotate and position as needed. Add key frames (at the bottom of the Pan/Crop window) to make the text move.

Good luck.

THANK YOU! In one way I'm pleased - it's time I need NOT money! Going to be quite a job then to upload some poetry with interesting text ...

Thanks to the chaps above and MS especially for 'his' details that I now need to practice. Someone mentioned it in another post but a Dummies guide WOULD be REALLY useful and MS really needs to be a part of that!!

Thank you.

I'm glad you likey. I spend too much time here already which is why my projects take so long to complete. I just finished one, another is waiting final render/burn, and two waiting on me to edit. But here I am....

TVPC, I realize this may seem obvious, but once you have set up some text to fly across the screen, save the result as a "preset" in the Text effects and you will be able to easily do the same or similar thing over and over. Honestly, you can probably get all the different text effects you were looking for in less that an hours worth of work once you get the hang of it.

Have fun!

It almost looks like it was created in Flash, saved, imported into a program like Camtasia and saved as another format. I tried to replicate it in Power Director and Camtasia, but only had luck in Flash. Something I have never thought about trying. Cute YouTube link.

Add them using the new Blender 2.5 (free). The new UI makes it MUCH easier to learn. There's no limit to the special effects you can build ... even shatter the text or burn / smoke it.
