What video card would you suggest?

I'm building my own system for VV3. I'm curious as to what any and all might suggest as to which video card would offer the best performance. I'm consider the ATI Radeon 8500 with 128MB of DDR.

have you searched the forum? this question has been asked a lot. you looking for a video adapter, or a video capture card?

the 128MB of DDR RAM will do nothing for you unless you play some SERIOUS games or work with 3d studio MAX. 32MB is plenty for video.

I didn't have any luck with the ATI Radeon 8500 (search the forum for my comments)

NVidia GeForce 2's and 3's have worked well for me, but I play games and use 3dsMAX.

performance-wise, anything made in the last couple years from Matrox, ATI or NVidia will be about the same when it comes to Vegas.
