What will get me the best preview; more RAM? faster CPU?

Hello,

I have a Pentium 4 3.06 Ghz CPU and 1.0 GB of RAM on a system right now. I'm happy with the quality while I edit; this post is more of a "what if" question than an "I need" question. WIll more RAM get me a better preview quality? If not, what will (as far as system add ons). thanks in advance!

RAM doesn't help realtime preview speed. It's almost all in the CPU, with a tiny bit depending on hard drive and bus speed.

However, that being said, if you have more RAM you can generate longer dynamic RAM previews (Shift-B). But with the 1GB you've already got you should easily be able to do 2 or 3 minutes' worth.
