I just received Video Vegas 3.0. Have not gone throught the manual yet. I ran a small test using 3 video files I made from a 3D program. They are 720x480 pixel ratio of .9. This is for nstc DV output.I will be doing some composite work in Commotion so I need the 3 vid's as one.I also made a tga file of the last frame as this will be held for about 90 frames.When I place the tga file in the time line VV3 puts black bars at the top and bottom of the file. So I rendered the video to see if it would be 720x480 and no black bars.VV3 rendered the black bars.I then used my other vid editing program ( Medio Studio Pro 6) And it rendered as expected no bars.why is VV3 doing this.
