when ever i add video FX the preview window goes black

When ever i add video FX to one of my clips the preview window goes black, then i tried to render the video with the video FX and it the clip was still black, i tried to turn on fx bypass but then when i rendered the video FX never showed up in the clip and my split screen is not on. also when i use the event pan/crop tool it does the same thing. I am running sony vegas pro 15

@alton-yap - No you’re not. SONY sold the Vegas Pro line to the German Company MAGIX over 2 years ago. 😉

OK, you have a lot of dectective work to do.

1) Are you using the latest BUILD of VP?

2) What are your PC specifications? What is your GPU? Have you got the latest GPU drivers?

3) What FX are you using?

4) If you GPU Acceleration ON, try turning it OFF.

Please Post a ScreenGrab of your TIMELINE setup. I want to see if you have any Video Envelopes active.

i am running the latest build, i have an i5 7400, gtx 1050ti, and i do have the latest gpu drivers, im mainly using s_BlurMoCurves, i dont think i have gpu acceleration on, and how to i post my timeline? im a noob xD

It’s been discussed many times that a minimum of i7 is advisable, especially with demanding FXing.

What is that FX? Looks like a 3rd party FX? Have you registered it with the company?

i dont think i have gpu acceleration on,

Go Preferences and click the Video tab. Is your GPU listed?

and how to i post my timeline? im a noob xD

Use the UPLOAD Button and select the ScreenGrab you’ve created.
