Are you sure you didn't overlap events? That will cause the triangles to disappear indicating events are now overlaped.

No, I don't think so, it does the same thing when I use the add from media button

Perhaps you've enabled "automatically overlay media when adding" in Preferences > Editing.

Are you getting light-blue triangles instead of dark blue? These are what shows up when you're zoomed out enough that the overlay is very narrow.

Or, your track height is too small.

You're seeing to triangles at all, light or dark blue? Try restarting Windows. I have seen the case where if Vegas had crashed, it's unable to re-use a resource that it uses to draw those blue triangles. Does that fix it?

I restarted Windows and the triangles are back, both the dark blue ones and the light blue ones. VV3 didn't crash though so the problem might come from elsewhere.
