When will be added the full metadata of .R3D files from RED cameras?

I would like to buy vegas pro 15 but i know the ability to read the FULL metadatas from RMD files of my RED cameras are still stopped on the Vegas PRO 9 version..but premiere and fcpx now support all these metadatas! If Vegas will support i will buy it, if not, i will pass to adobe software!

I think you may be incorrect, IIRC Vegas Pro since about version 13 does read RMD files. I recall testing this, placing a R3d file on the Vegas timeline, then opening the same R3d in RedCine-X changing ISO, adding an S curve or similar, and the changes did show up in Vegas (may have needed Vegas to be restarted to reflect changes). I'd suggest you try the 30 day free trial of Vegas

I know very well, and i can play it all these RMD files, but the problem is different: I need to read ALL the metadatas from these RMD files, and the only few metadatas wich i can read are stopped to red gamma2, with is very very old! Now there are meny different metadata on the new DSMC2 brains, included a IPP2 line. Premiere and Final Cut are constantly updated...but Vegas is stopped untill the Pro 9!

I briefly looked at it in Vegas15, it does now support Dragoncolor, can't recall what else. While I do have 15, I am still using 14. Suggest you do the trail of Vegas 15. Don't recall where I read it, but if you make certain adjustments inVegas, it creates some new file type that is stored in the same directory as the r3d.

The new metadata are RedGamma4, and Soby Vegas is stopped to RedGamma2 of SONY VEGAS 9!!!

Anyway, i can control the half of the metadata of my RED Scarlet-w camera. I asked to MAGIX stuff, and this is their answer:

Hello

Thank you for your message.

Further support for more modern RED cameras is in the works.  We in support are not able to quote a timeframe for when this implementation would occur.

+1 for me

Vegas Pro was one of the first NLE to support natively RED files, unfortunately, RED support wasn't update so much.
It's time now to renew RED files support adding more features and closing the gap comparing to other NLEs.
