Where can I find media generators for text? Also, how can I make my movie "pause" ?

I'm new to video editting but I'm slowly getting the hang of it. Vegas Video is simply amazing.

I was wondering if there are any good media generators for text. I want to (quickly) create logos for my movies/clips. Do they have such a thing? I'm assuming I can use Adobe Photoshop and import logos that I create, but I'm hoping for a much easier way (basically just adding on the text generators already built in to Vegas via plugins or something).

The only thing I can not figure out how to do is make my video clip pause or slow down. I'm thinking it has to do with video envelopes but I can't find any good tutorials on how to do this. Can anybody help me out?

Any help is much appriciated.

Right-click the clip, choose Insert/Remove Velocity Envelope. You can then add points along the envelope to speed up or slow down the clip. The range is -100% (backwards full speed) to 0% (freeze frame) to 300% (three times normal speed) and every number in-between.

Actually, I thought of a more specific effect. A type-writer-like effect... sort of how they do it on Judge Judy or whatever (when they say who the plantiff is, etc, etc and they "type" out their name on the screen).

Anything like this exist?

The more and more I fool around with Vegas the more amazing it is :) I just figured out how to do television "snow" effects :)

If you're still trying to create a "pause" in your video as an effect you might try capturing the last frame (as a still) and drop it onto the timeline where you want it to pause. Just drag it out to the length you want your pause.

About the typewriter effect you wanted. I did this for an intro. once. I did it the long way and for every new letter i made a new clip. Then recorded typing sounds. I'm sure there is an easier way than this. I'm curious myself as to whether there's a plug-in.
