sorry i mean when i select to render a project to MPEG 2 from DV it gives you an estimate on what size the file will be when its done.

LOL,thanks for the info but its a lot easier if i can just find the window that i found before in vegas that tells you the approximate size!!! its usually within 2% of the correct size

Forget the calculator. Try this. I wrote it specifically for this purpose. Although now that I think of it, it'd be a good idea to include buttons to enter certain presets. Works well all the same.

Simon... I think I know what you mean...Did you have VideoWave at some point?

When I had VideoWave, when choosing different formats to render to, it would tell me what size the file would be, and how long it would take to download.

Is that what you mean?

yeh thats exactly what i mean:>) I upgraded form Videofactory 2 to vegas video and VF2 did this , i then posted here a few months ago and someone from sonic told me what to do, but its been so long since i used VV ive forgotten how t do it
