Where does this go next?

Here is what I am trying to do & what I have done so far. I created a 30 second introduction that ends up with two sets of words fading in onto this video for displaying for just the final few seconds. The words that fade in are play highlights & scene selection menu. I had hoped that I could just do a freeze frame of this last frame which would hold until the viewer chose either of the 2 options on offer. The clip has a 30 sec music tracks as well.

This 30 sec video is actually just chapter one of a long MPEG2 file that already had chapter markers on it. I'm not certain if this intodutary 30 sec clip is introductory just introductory media or not & if it does, does it make any difference. I could if necessary, since I will have room in the disk, import the 30 sec clip again if necessary & start the main feature at chapter 2. If the basic concept is OK where do I go next?

The next step is to create a menu that looks exactly like the last frame of your clip, the end action of your intro media takes you to this menu (if you insert this as actual intro media in DVDA this is the default).

It's actually easier to do this the other way though - that is you create your menu first, then capture the picture in preview mode, which then becomes the source used in your intro clip.

I'd also suggest keeping your intro clip as it's own clip rather than as a chapter in a larger movie. This way its easier to update.
