Hi Guys !

Im new here 😀.

I want to know where Vegas Pro 14 creates its proxies when you drag and drop 4K footage onto the timeline. When i drop the files on the timeline it starts auto creating proxies which takes a long time but that isnt a matter. Where on the system does it create these proxies. How do i delete them after im finished with a project ?

Thanks

By default the proxies files created are in the same location as the original files. They are saved with the extension (. sfvp0)

Joelson > Thanks for your input. I saw those but didn't realize they were the proxies. I appreciate your quick response.

If you don't need proxy files simply deactivate automated proxy building in Options/Preferences/Video.

Marco > That i knew because ive seen it in preferences. It was i who activated the create proxies automatically. But wanted to know WHERE they reside. Joelson answered that. Without proxies my system will chug an come to a halt 😢.
