VMS doesn't carry all the plugins with it that are in Vegas Full. Shake your moneymaker to get all of them...

So must I buy all the other versions to get it? Another question is there a site where you can download more effects and plugins for VMS? :D

Vegas Pro offers more plugins and effects, yes.
There are plenty of 3rd party plugins that are sold over the internet. Some are rather expensive.
here are some sites:
http://www.redgiant.com for Magic Bullet
http://www.digitaljuice.com for mattes, transitions and backgrounds

If you are new to Vegas, I would suggest you first get to know the program, because you can pull out quite a nice arsenal of nice effects out of Vegas Movie Studio, just by being creative!

If you dont mind my asking, what are you trying to mask?

There are lots of ways to "mask" things depending on what you want to do. A quick example of this is the border function in the video fx tab. It is a "type" of mask. So is cookie cutter. You can introduce a png drawing/overlay with a transparent background and use it as a mask. You can use a spicemaster transition over some generated media to get a muzzle effect flash effect I think - which you could then composite wherever you wanted. Some people use green screens to mask out a subject they then can put the subject wherever they want. I guess what I am saying is masking is more of a subject that an "item".

I wish you the best in finding what you are looking for and in your video projects. Have fun with it.
