What do you mean by vp23.com? That sounds more like a website (which wouldn't be VEGAS). There's nothing called "vp23.com".

VEGAS Pro executable would be:

"C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 23.0\vegas230.exe"

If you have Vegas Pro installed, any version, the executable file is in the same location.

VegasCapture is a folder location.

C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 23.0\VEGASCapture

Again, the Vegas executable file (to run Vegas Pro) is located where I posted above.

@Reyfox - followed your instructions, please see my PNG above, but it stubbornly gets to this Capture folder.

@Grazie is that all you have installed in the Vegas Pro 23.0 folder? Then the installation isn't complete. There should be more in that folder than just the Capture folder.

I'll add that I do have some plugins tossed in there, but you get the idea of the size of the folder and how many files it should have.

A complete uninstall, and then what do I install, considering the multitude of items?

@Grazie with Vegas (IIRC), if you run the installer again, it will present you a button (if the software was installed) to Remove the software. That is what I would do.

Then run the Vegas installation again.

YES: went through a very long install procedure with many couldn't find warnings. FINISHED UP WITH NO VP23 in the folder, still the same Capture Folder, and that's all.

Something is terribly wrong on your end. Download Revo Uninstaller Free and uninstall Vegas Pro 23 and any other Vegas 23 associated files like Addons and Deep Learning Models.

Then after uninstalling, restart your computer and install again... I hope this works for you.

Run CMD as administrator. Type in sfc/ scannow and see if that finds any issues.
