Where's the Cineform Codec in 9.0?

I've just trialed 9.0e and after seeing that everything seem to be working fine, I upgraded and then uninstalled Vegas 7. With that I lost the Cineform HD AVI codec. Now I can't work on a project that has intermediate HD AVI clips. It was working fine before I uninstalled 7. Now I only have audio for those clips. I have an CFHD.dll file but no CFHD.inf to reinstall it with and I can't even find it on the installation CD. In fact I thought that is only needed when creating the files and aviplug.dll is for decoding them. This is all too confusing. Why would Vegas do this? Do I need to reinstall 9?

Cineform codec is no longer included with Vegas. Your options are:

1. Buy the Cineform Neo product for about $99.
2. Contact SCS support to get access to the Vegas 7 install.
3. Transcode to a different intermediate format. I use MXF which is included in Vegas 9.

Cineform is no longer included in Vegas Pro. You can download a decoder so that you can use your Cineform encoded files at:

http://estore.cineform.com/neoplayer.aspx

You can not encode to Cineform, but you can use the files that you have.

That's just lovely. Giveth and taketh away. Thanks. I was able to download the Neoscene Player and now it works. Talk about a couple of hours stress and cursing especially since it was working with the 9.0 demo installed. It didn't even reload the codec after reinstalling 7. I don't have time for this kind of stuff, but what can I do? Well, for starters, not use Cineform after this project is done. I can use M2T's with this version. Cuts a couple of steps out of the work flow.
