Where to color correct in this workflow?

I have about 10 hours of AVCHD from a conference I shot. I am delivering as "raw" footage. I will batch transcode it, probably to Cineform, and deliver that to the client. I am hoping, but not sure, that I can apply the CC to the AVCHD during the transcoding to AVI.

Where in the process would YOU apply minor color correction?

In the last rendering step. That way you can change your mind if you want to.
Only exception I can think of is if you need to "legalize" your levels, would probably go ahead and apply any minor CC at the intermediate level.
