Hi,

Is it wise to download the 8.1 version from the link mentioned above?

Why is it that the link does not work on the SCS pages? Is there something wrong with this release and it is withdrawn? Or can I download from the link you provided and rest assured I get the final official 8.1 release???

Christian you have a point.
It seems you can only fetch the 8.1 download by accessing Sony's
"current" directory directly -- there does not seem to be an online link
that will take you there. WHY NOT?
Take a look here -- 8.1 is in the list way down near the bottom.

Many folks have downloaded 8.1 and are running it with no problem.
Myself, I can't get it to load -- something wrong in Windows Installer on my system
that prevents me loading it. I get the "windows installer cannot be accessed" error.

Hi,

There MIGHT be a problem with 8.1 and it's installation exe, therefore the download MIGHT be temporarily unavailable as long as its fixed... Just a thought...

It was a brief website error, the link on the website wasn't made live despite the build being posted. Link fixed now, sorry for the confusion.

The links in the sticky

http://download/updates/vegaspro
http://download/updates/vegaspro/64bit

are clearly wrong: no domain name for the server.

Yep, fixed now.
