I recently did a complete clean install of my edit computer. After installing Vegas 6.0c, I found that several of Sony's audio plugins (namely those that are part of the XFX 3 pack and the Resonant Filter) were, for some reason, stuck in Demo mode. In this mode, the plugins would place random beeping sounds when on playback of the timeline.
Discussion of the issue:

After much hair pulling, I gave up on trying to make 6.0c work, uninstalled it, cleaned the registry, and installed 6.0a. Problem solved.
So, while I've given up on 6.0c, I'd still like to use the latest stable version (6.0b), but I cannot find it on Sony's site. Is there some secret page on the site where I can download it? Otherwise, how else can I revert an older version when Sony only allows the download of their latest build (however buggy it may be)?
Also, can others confirm whether this issue is present or not on their 6.0c installs? I'd still like to find the reason for my problem. I ran 6.0c since it came out before I reformatted my computer and didn't notice this as an issue, which is mainly because I never needed to use these plugins. Truthfully, the use of these plugins is not essential for what I do, but my inner programmer is just irked by the idea that Sony released a buggy build that precludes its users from using plugins that they PAID for.
The audio plugins I've found to be in Demo mode are:
1) XFX 3 Plug-In Pack
-- Amplitude Modulation
-- Distortion
-- Flange/Wah-Wah
-- Gapper/Snipper
2) Resonant Filter
Furthermore, Sony has had a warning about expired plugins and demo beeps on it's product download pages for some time now (it appears to be since the name change from Sonic Foundry to Sony took place in their products). However, it refers to this issue occuring due to user modifications of the default install path and Sonic Foundry/Sony program conflicts. In my case, I had no other Sony/Sonic Foundry products installed when I installed Vegas 6.0c (as I had just done a complete reformat of the HD), so I can't see how this could be the cause of what I am experiencing. That, coupled with the fact that 6.0a doesn't appear to suffer from the same problem, tells me that something may be very wrong with 6.0c.
But I really would like to hear what others have experienced on their installs of 6.0c. If this is just an issue isolated to a few users, then I may need to look once again into making 6.0c work on my system.
