I am starting to think that Vegas seriously needs to have some better support for the AVC encoders that it ships with!
The only AVC encoder that seems to create a stream that DVD Arch. can take without the need to re-compress is the Sony AVC encder... even then this is a hit and miss. First off the encoder only support single pass CBR.... which can be ok for many things but at times where I have fades or transitions the CBR really begins to show itself. And I can never seem to get the bit rate passed 15mbps when creating an AVC file for import to DVDA.
Everything the Main Concept encoder produces requires re-compression once brought into DVDA.
So what are we supposed to use to get High Quality AVC for creating Blu Rays?? Do we need to go buy the full Blown Main Concept encoder, or Sorenson etc etc?
