Am looking at a new PC build. It appears from a number a number of Posts the AMD graphics cards are a good option for use with sony vegas pro. Can anyone suggest which of the newly released cards might be a suitable replacement for the superseded but frequently recommended R9 -290. Is the R9 - 380 likely to be ok?

Thanks

This page offers benchmark reports on most high-end graphics cards. (There are links to other pages that offer benchmarks of lower end cards.) A card rating at least 3000 should be more than adequate for virtually any Vegas Pro operation. Just make sure you've also got a powerful power supply to support it!

Though for most editing operations on an adequately powered machine, you probably don't need a knock your socks off graphics card with Vegas. You'll only feel its power if you're editing lots of special effects.
