Which upgrade package (v5 to v9),32vs64bit, more

Finally ordering an upgrade for our old Vegas Pro v5 :)

1 - At the time Vegas and DVD Architect were sold seperately - it looks like they both come with the v9 upgrade now... true?

(per the link at...
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/upgrade/vegaspro )

2 - I guess the $249.95 price would apply to us sine our version is not an LE version... (but it is an old version :) Right?

3 - We are considering buying two computers... one to edit on while the other is rendering... Does Sony sell a package to accomidate this or must we buy two complete copies of Vegas?

Any reason to not order directly from Sony at the link above?

Thanks for any comments.

1. True (both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions are available and can be installed on a 64-bit machine).

2. Yes it would.
The upgrade page says:
Upgrade any professional version of Vegas (Vegas Pro, Vegas Audio, or Vegas Video, Vegas, or Vegas+DVD) to Vegas Pro 9.
Pricing excludes Vegas LE.

3. You're allowed to install it on as many machines as you want as long as you're only using one machine at a time.
Therefore you will need to buy two copies.

4. The Sony site is the only place to get the upgrade offer.
For your second copy, shop around and see who has the best package price (B&H, Videoguys, etc.).

Thanks Mike.

QuestionL Do you get 'both' the 32 bit and the 64 bit on the CD or must you specify which?

Will_3, My guess is yes (can't imagine why they wouldn't be) but I get all my updates by download so I can't say for sure.
