Mostly filming with gopro for enduro riding on dirt bike. Also be taking old footage of old tv show that on are recorded vhs, svhs, mini dvc and dvc pro tapes.
Vegas Pro 22 will cover all your needs and more. However if you are going to be capturing content from DV tapes via firewire, you gonna have to use an external tool for that.... What i normally recommend for such vintage task is WinDV.
Looked around but, did not see if hard copies of this software were available. If hard copies are not available, can I download this software to a disk or flash drive then download on to my laptop?
i only have usb-c, usb, rj45 and hmdi ports on this laptop. I will need converter to put older video on the laptop. Any advice on what port would be best to import video into vegas software, would be great.
Spent tons of money on adobe software back in the day. Now it's not working because it's not supported anymore. Premier pro 1,2,3, photoshop cs2, after effects and other software. Now all adobe software is only available with subscription.
Getting back into this, looks to be too much already!! Everything is in a cloud, everything must be hooked up to the internet for one reason or another.
@462 I understand your frustration with Adobe. they do so many of their users so wrong, going full subscription, crippling their users with absolutely no wiggle room..... Worry not, after downloading Vegas, you can easily create a hard copy anywhere you like. The only one time for internet intervention, is during activation, that's it.
So I can not download to usb first? Guess it does not matter. I need some kind of software for new gopro. This seems to be cheapest and the best for money. Thanks for helping, nice to know I can come here for help also.
My PC specs are, AMD FX4300, Gigabyte 970A DS3P motherboard, 12GB 1866 MHz DDR3 RAM, AMD Sapphire Pulse RX550 4GB and some SSDs and HDDs. Which version of Vegas Pro is best for me on stability and performance. Please note, I know this is a very old setup but with it I can work in Premiere Pro CC 2018. I know I have to change it eventually but not now. In any way it is not giving me any trouble. Yes, the rendering takes time but that's okay for me as I create videos for my family and friends and planning on creating an youtube channel for my dog. But to do this I am not going to pay Adobe on a regular basis. So, please advice me which version of Vegas Pro will be best for me.
@sky-w That CPU seems to date from around 2012 though GPU appears newer.
VEGAS specs say "AMD Radeon with 4GB VRAM and VCE 3.0 or higher" so the GPU may be enough for VEGAS. I'd suggest the trial of 22 and see how it works for what you are editing. If not well you'd have to buy an old version of VEGAS from a user willing to part with their serial.
@RogerS Thank you so much for this very fast reply. Please don't take me otherwise, but I didn't expect it this fast. I am very happy. I will certainly do as per your advice and see what happens. I will post my experience here though it will take a bit of time, I am afraid.
