Color Curves has a misleading name as it is GREAT for fixing contrast problems, but not color balance.
If you have Vegas 4.0, the filter you want is Color Corrector and it will do what you want. V4 can even do a split-screen so you can see a shot from one camera while you adjust the other.
To do that, display a frame from the reference cammera on your preview, then hit the preview Copy Snapshot button, then hit the preview split screen tool (move pull-down options to clipboard). You can then see a still frame of your reference footage while playing back and adjusting the other. You can even drag out how much of the reference clip you want to see. These are all new features of V4.
