Who will be 3d workflow master?

I just shot a bunch of video on the 3d GoPro HD - sooo cool! Now I have hundreds of clips on the timeline - One track has all the Left Eye and one track has all the Right Eye. I can manually select each pair and Pair as 3D Stereo Subclip but that would be really boring, time consuming, give me hand cramps, etc...

So... anyone know a shortcut? (please!)

After that I have to apply the 3d Stereo Adjustment plugin to every single clip, and hit the Autocorrect button. Awesome feature by the way. But I see a need to automate this series of steps.

The free software that comes with GoPro is decent but I don't see any option to export full resolution 3d. If you choose side-by-side it exports half resolution per eye. Also you don't have control over export compression - you end up with compression artifacts coming out of the tool that weren't there in the original 3d footage. Vegas just kicks so much ass over the freebie proggie.

There are about ten different scenerios (left eye, right eye, blue/yellow, etc) so what do you do--- make 10 different Bluray DVDs so ten differently equiped clients can see it properly?

The only delivery formats I'm interested in for video are Youtube 3D and BluRay 3D.

Youtube 3D supports all kinds of formats including my Mitsubishi 3D TV (Checkerboard format) and all colored glasses. You render one file and it is interpreted on the fly by the player:

Bluray 3D plays on all PC's through PowerDVD, Sony PS3, and newer Bluray players that support HDMI 1.4. 3D is part of the HDMI 1.4 spec.

Editing 3d in Vegas is a dream!!! I can work with the source video without converting. That's a big time saver. That stereo 3D adjustment FX is quite impressive. Auto adjust nails it every time and it's fully keyframeable. Very cool.

The anaglyph mode could be adjusted to include the "optimized" / "dubios" mode that YouTube 3D and most 3D editing software now includes. This was an innovation that improves the quality of red/cyan anayglphs without losing the color. It is so much easier on the eyes - if you go to a youtube 3D video and switch between Red/Cyan full color and Red/Cyan optimized the difference is like night and day to my eyes. I'll get used to it though. :)

RE: How to apply 3d Stereo Adjustment FX too all clips

1) Apply effect to first clip / apply Autocorrect
2) Right click first clip and hit Copy
3) Select all target clips / Right click and hit Paste Event Attributes

This applies the plugin and the same autocorrect settings to all the clips in a single operation. Most clips work out okay but I would still want to autocorrect individual clips to make sure.
