Why are the Newsfeed and Help/Check for News . . . not working?

After 7 weeks not starting my home desktop I started that one today.
I knew there were updates for Vegas Pro and DVD Architect, so I was curious if the ongoing complaining from a lot of users was grounded that the two items mentioned in the title of this post were not working.
Unfortunately my experience was that the complaints are real.

My newsfeed option in Preferences is checked

So I like to become informed about product updates and therefor I selected in the menu Help of Vegas Pro the option to check if there is some news.
The answer is NO, there is no news

Come on Magix, it's time to clear this.
