After 12 or so years using Vegas almost daily it still sometimes puzzles me. Thanks to this forum I recently discovered how to change dB range in Mixing Console - now another audio puzzle.
I am mixing a multi track audio recording, but suddenly the Volume envelopes I have carefully ramped up and down are being ignored. No audio buses except Master are being used, but in an individual track I can pull the envelope down to Zero but the volume remains the same. I have opened the same project on a different computer and this still happens, so somewhere somehow I must have told Vegas to ignore envelopes - but where is such a setting?
I'm searching Help with no joy so far - help most appreciated.
EDIT - Solved!
Somehow, the Automation button in each Track Header was set to Off! Don't know how, but changing this to "Read" put things back to normal - hope this may help someone, else, but I'd still like to know how they got switched off.
