Why can't I burn a 3D Blu-ray?

I've used my Sony HDR-TD10 to create a 3D video and I started a project in Vegus Movie Studio HD Platinum with the project properties stereoscopic set in 3D mode with side by side full. When I open the movie maker and slect burn to blu-ray disk the only option that is displayed is Render Image Only. If however I change the properites to steroscopic off and choose burn a blu-ray I get all three options.Render Image and burn, render image only and burn existing image file. If I proceed to burn the blu-ray disk, the disk is burnt and plays well in my blu-ray dvd player. What gives? Any suggestions?

Vegas Movie Studio does not have the ability to create a 3D BluRay.

Really?
I've made few Blu-Ray 3Ds with Movie Studio 11 HD Platinum, of course without menu system. You can make ISO file and then burn this ISO file to the BR.

Of course, you must have BR capable burner connected (AFAIR I must have it even for making image file) and the project settings should comply to BR standard (1920x1080/23.97p, or 1280x720/50p/60p).
