Why did DVDA3 re-render?

I rendered an 18 minute project in Vegas6 using the mp2 and used DVD Architecht NTSC video stream setting, and AC-3 Audio. However when I prepared the project in DVDA there was a message that (I think it said video stream 2 or track 2) had to be re-rendered. The project is made up of video clips and there are also 80 - 90 stills.
Is the Maximum GOP (group of pictures) talking about stills? and is that possibly what had to be re-rendered?

maybe you didn't have the same settings for the rendered file & the dvda project.

GOP is a reference to the file structure of the Mpeg format.

As THFsaid, it might be a project setting. In any case, take a look at the optomize window and see what it thinks which files are compliant or not.

I will check the settings, and try the optimizer

Thanks

OK, I opened the project in DVDA and, went to "Make DVD->prepare->Next and there is a warning that says "the video "<filename>.mpg" on track 2 "Video" in "<filename>" will be re compressed.

There are several tracks in the Vegas project. Why would Vegas not have rendered all the tracks?

I am going to go back and re-render the project in Vegas just to see if I had that track muted, or all the tracks selected except that one.

You're misinterpreting the message. It has nothing to do with Vegas.

it means your mpeg doesn't fit the project (or the video on the rest of the t/l) settings.
