Why did I get deleted?

Lili wrote on 2/23/2005, 4:38 PM
This aft noon I posted a question to ask forum users if I should get a new computer and all relevant info as to why, or get an extra external hard drive, and all the relevant info behind that.

Just now (several hours later), I don't even see my post. Why has it been deleted? It was just a couple of questions - not even OT.

Maybe your new name says it all.

A mistake on someone's part obviously.

Ask again.

You could always e-mail & ask Sony. Most likely they'll respond with the answer.

(Having an answer is always best when accompanied by a response.)
((Sorry ;-))

Do a quick search on your username and see if the post is truly gone. It might just be pushed down quickly if there's a lot of activity.

nickle (et al)

Hey, you're probably right. I was having technical problems ALL day - some very weird ones too. Checked everything suggested and my post is definately gone.
Think I'll go to bed and try again tomorrow.
Night all.

Maybe you accidently hit the "<<Back to Vegas - Video" button instead of the "Post Message" button, by mistake? I've done that before.

Yes, I must have done something screwy like that. I should be taking a break before I get too tired to see straight. Anyway, appreciate all the replies with suggestions.

p.s. - Things are working much better today,. Both my computer AND, my camera were on the blink yesterday. I would insert in a mini DV for playback and I could hear the audio but there was no pic on the LCD screen,. Also, I could view the video in capture mode on my computer when I tested it.

This morning I called the place where I bought the PD170 and they said it must be a loose connection, and to bring it in for them to look at. However, I played with it and turned the LCD screen to mirror mode and back - and voila, the picture came back. I only mention this in case it ever happens to other PD150 170 users as there is nothing in the user manual about this little glitch.
