So far the only Screen Blast product that Sonic Foundry has stopped sellling themselves is SIREN. This appears to be a marketing deal with Sony, though everything there except SIREN is still available directly from Sonic Foundry.
Actually, the price on the whole Screen Blast line is really good! Even if you already have one or two of the programs, ordering the whole set through Sony is still a very good deal.
I did try purchasing a SIREN license there and the sale never went through. I'm still waiting to see if my boss' credit card got charged or not. One BIG warning ... do NOT resize the browser window while you're purchasing. Resizing the window ends up with a blank screen and appears to disrupt any transaction you might be doing. I'm going to send a bug report to customer service.
Just took a look at the Screenblast site. Noticed some very interesting things.
For example, did anyone notice that the "deluxe" version of Video Factory includes a chroma key filter! This has been one of the features I've been asking for (along with a better trimmer, advanced Quciktime options and the ability to open/edit WMV files). Anyone who has ever used chroma keying can tell you how fun it is. I wonder why this isn't included with Sonic Foundry's version of Video Factory?
Also, the Image Editor appears to be Viscosity (which sadly I did not buy before SF yanked it. I don't suppose anyone knows how to buy Viscosity without resorting to buying from Screenblast? Anyway, it would be nice to see a new version but I'm not holding my breath). I've even managed to "hack" it so it integrates smoothly with VF.
