Double-check the Optimize DVD window to be sure that the project is set to AC3 and that the menu is as well. Also, where was the 5.1 audio created? 100% positive that it's 5.1?

I just tested in 2.0 and 2.0a: Created a simple menu, added a 5.1 AC3 rendered in Vegas, and preprared DVD files from this. Both times, the resulting menu still contained 5.1 audio (as reported by PowerDVD).

The AC3 5.1 files where rendered in Vegas and yes they are 5.1

The only thing I have not done is your suggestion to check Optimize DVD window(never used this before)

You do not get a message saying the Audio will be recompressed when you prepare the DVD ?

bStro, you are correct. You can stop it in the Optimize section....thanks

The Optimize DVD window is very handy. Use it well and use it often. ;-)

DVDA2 itself is very handy. I thought I would be stuck with Maestro forever.
