Ignoring a user or a whole forum as I have for the past week requires willpower. The trouble with responding to disruptive posters like Zippy that posts nothing but mindless rants only encourages him to post more and others like him to join in.

In part it also caused me to stop contributing. The noise level in the forum has been going up the past several months. Trolls are not only tolerated, some encourage them. On the other hand I was seriously disrespected and dumped on for the harmless use of "duh".

Six months from now how many more Zippy types will be ranting here and how many more contributors will have left?

Possibly the number one feature missing in Vegas is the ability to ignore Zippy like users. Vegas must have an autodestroy system when a Zippy user register the program. Possibly is this the trouble with ZippyGaloo???? this system exists and zippy users are in trouble because Vegas is more intelligent and detects him and hide some features??? Is Zippy using Vegas 4 with antizippyware???

If this is true WELCOME ANTIZIPPYWARE.

Speaking of Zippys threads, how come he wants Vegas in Polish? Does he live in Poland? I work with some Polish people. They use the English copy of Sound Forge. Perhaps Zippy only speaks Polish and feels that SoFo isn't paying attention to him by not supplying a Polish translated Vegas 4? If this is so, then perhaps zippy's trying to say "Vegas Rocks" but can't translate it properly, and hence we see" Vegas Sucks."

Oh, I had anti-zippyware, but it kept clogging up my internet connection so now I just ignore the problem. And zippy has a point: How come I didn't get a copy of a Vegas 4 poster in my box! I wanted to hang it next to my Backstreet Boys and Brittany Spears posters!

Billy,

Truth is that I was steering away from your posts because you were abusive and not even entertaining-even though you usually had something useful to say. But "you know who" is abusive and oaf-ish too. In a way I think people are having more fun taunting the village idiot.

But anyway, I guess there's no way to "ignore this user". When I try it I get his message alone with no responses. It's no help.

Possibly you are right, and zippy first translates to japanese on altavista and after it retranslates to english by the retranslating engine on his brain-BIOS. But he hasn't the last update and the antizippyware blocks the translations? ;-)
