Why does mouse move slow in VMS7?

I've noticed with certain video editing software that the speed of the computer's mouse is slowed down when using these programs to edit.

Does anyone know why my mouse slows down when working with VMS7? And is there a place within the program where I can change the speed of the mouse?

My works normal. Do you have any mouse or keyboard controlling programs installed.
Some of them cause problems.

Yes, I use a 4-button trackball and Logitech software is installed. I'll try disabling it to see how that works. Thanks!
