Why does this always happen to me

Hunter wrote on 4/2/2003, 7:17 PM
After doing a much needed HD cleaning i.e. removing unused programs and files before running defrag, my Vegas capture wants a serial number now.

My VV4 is and upgrade from VV3 which is an upgrade from VF2. I uninstalled VV3 then VF2, I see no reason to have 70mb of unused programs. VV4 opens and runs fine so why Vegas capture all the sudden need a serial number is beyond me. So before call some one .... LOL .. any one here have a clue what happen?

Thanks
Hunter

Hi Hunter,

SoFo installs will sometimes find and use existing directories for plugins etc.

I have VV plugins in my VF directories - they work, but as you have found, they won't when they get deleted.

Your key must've been buried in there somewhere.

It's like The Matrix. You changed something. Now you have to check in with the agents. ;

oh those agents, I knew some thing was wrong here ... LOL well I did fix it, just a little panic on my end. It's just when you pay this much for something you can freak out when it crashes. The remedy for this was just uninstall all Vegas software then reinstall VV4 only then reg all over again, whew. All good now ... any way I could just delete this thread and save myself the embarrassment. :-(

Thanks ... LOL I'm better now
