Why does VF2 break my 4.6GB project into two parts?

I've been attempting to make a DV movie that is about 50 minutes long. VF1 did not allow me to use as many clips as necessary to complete all 50 minutes. So I have upgraded to VF2 based on the information given by this website, mentioning that version 2.0 has the new feature "DV print-to-tape projects larger than 4G."

However, VF2 still requires that the project is rendered to file before transfering to DV which does not solve the 4GB problem. The project gets broken into two .avi's.

Is there a way to render a large project in one piece such that it can be transfered to DV Tape in an uncut, fluid movie?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There is really no way to make a single file larger than 4 GB when using a Windows 9x system that uses FAT32.

As a workaround, the video file is segmented (similar to a way some RARs are segmented). However, when you use the print to tape utility, it should play back all the segments as one seamless whole.
