It seems to happen to random people randomly. It never remembers me at home or the office, but it does remember me from the computer at church. *shrug*

I agree with Kelly *Shrug* - I have had this issue more than one time, only after Sony took over the this site/forum was re-done. It comes and goes. Knock wood it has not happened in a while now.

As an illustration of how hard it can be to track this down, I had the same problem a year ago after updating my Opera Browser.

I asked about it on the Opera forum and someone mentioned CCleaner as a program that could erase history.

Anyway, I misread the reply as meaning that CCleaner may fix the problem, so I downloaded it and ran it .... and everything went back to normal!

BUT, when I thanked the poster for his idea, he was surprised and said he was suggesting CCleaner as the CAUSE, not the CURE!

Anyway, it's still working ok here.

I had this problem also a few months ago, now everything is OK. I don't remember doing anything special.

One thing I did do and in the habit of doing every once in a while is to:
Internet Explorer: Delete all cookies, offline media, history, temp files.
Firefox: Delete all cookies, clear the history, clear the cache.

Yes, you need to re-sign in to your regular sites afterward.

You may have a cookie out of whack. Clearing all cookies and temp/cache and starting over helps to "clean out the pipes". I'm mostly on Firefox now and recently have had no problems other than the main forum topic list gets squished sometimes.

Last 24 hours happening to me too. The real PITA is that I can't remember those threads I've read and those I haven't. All the threads are "MID-BLUE" ! Obviously a colour correction issue . . . . . hmmm . note to self .. hmmm must get a book on CC for the INTERNET ..

Or it is my Media Manager!

Grazie ;-)

I've been having to log in every visit to the site for the last couple of weeks, on three different PCs. Also tried using Firefox and couldn't log in at all. So much fun!

Hmmm....

Maybe Sony is trying to tell you something?

Seriously, try clearing out the cookies and then set a new cookie. It might even help to run a Registry Cleaner, though I can't imagine why the registry would be a factor.
