Why is project to large for media?

When I click 'Finish' in the burning set up menu, a message pops up that says "Retrieving medie info. Please wait...." Nothing happens, (I waited all night), so I push cancel and another message tells me that my "project was to large for the selected media." The media is only a test run and it is about 200 MB. The actual movie I'm trying to make is about 3.8 GB, and the same message comes up. I've prepared the folders and everything, and I just don't have a clue what to do now.

change the default media size from 3.7 to 4.7 gb

I did change the media size to 4.7 gb, but I was originaly referring to a media size of only 200 mb that would not work.
