Why isn't it recognizing my DVD Burner???

for some reason DVD architect isn't recognizing my DVD burner, what could the problem be??? How can I get it fixed. Please Help

Hi,

I don't know which OS (Win2K or XP) you are using but try to install ASPI layer for your system (download it at Microsoft or Adaptec website). Perhaps DVDA use system ASPI layer for buring DVD instead of using its own routine (like Nero).

If you have Nero installed, run Nero Info and select ASPI Info tab and see if System ASPI installed. If not then you need to do the above and see if it's work (there is no harm done).

Might help if you mention what brand and model DVD burner you're using. Also the brand and type (DVD+R, DVD-R, RW, etc) you're trying.
