Why movie starts without to stop on menu page?

If you want first play of dvd reach menu, I trick it with having a short black movie video (just 2 secs) played first time (introduction video). Set the end action of this black movie video to the menu.

You mean it is how you do to solve the problem ? There is no other way to solve it ? As End Condition of my main Menu there is Hold by default, maybe it is the problem ? But anyway i tried to use Loop and Activate Menu and anyway the menu jumps directly to the video..

End condition for my short black movie video. So when the disc inserted first time, it will play this short black movie video, then it goes to DVD menu.

Is your menu set as First Play?

Destination item of end action in the black video should be set to your DVD Menu.

I don't know why you would need a black video to play first. If you set the MENU as "Set Disc Start" that should work fine.

Well, unfortunately, to my experience, it doesn't always work. I guess it depends on the player... no idea.

Many years ago, I made DVDs for screen playback usage in a ceremony / party. At first disc insert, it goes to menu... but after ejected and 2nd insert, it goes to video. So that's my personal trick.

I would expect this behaviour if you hit STOP twice. At that point, the DVD will play the first video physically on the disk. This is a trick when a commercial DVD will not let you skip certain previews or options. Hit Stop twice and then play and it will play the first video.

Ah, that's how you skip it.. never know that... (also expected behavior)

Well, as for my case many times ago, I need the DVD playback to be the same every time... so I need to do this.

The only 'weakness' with doing this is 'DVD loading felt longer', yeah, due to 'black screen video as the first video'. But again, this is only used for screen playback purposes in a ceremony / party.

For my normal final DVDs given to my clients, my short logo video introduction is the first video to be played back.
