Why wouldn't my VCD play on my ComputerDVD rom ?

After Burning a vcd with Vegas, I tried watching it on my JVC DVD player and it worked. When I tried on my laptop and computer DVD rom, it wouldn't work (I used PowerDVD software). Does anyone no why? Thanks.

VCD's seem kind of picky for me. When I make one, I have to use CD-RW disks to play in my Sony DVD player.

Check out vcdhelp.com and see if there is a compatability issue with your equipment.

Part of the issue is that a VCD includes software that is loaded into the player. There is a royalty attatched to it's use and many of the PC DVD playing apps probably didn't see any point in paying the fee.
