Wich physical controller for VEGAS PRO?

Spawn-X wrote on 12/2/2016, 10:30 AM

P'tit lu all...

I'm using different softwares like Cubase, Reason, Live, etc., for my music productions, and I use some MIDI physical controllers like Shuttle Pro 2 (also used under Vegas) or iCon Qcon Pro to drive those DAWs.

Now, I'd like to have any controller like that but more dedicated to video editing under VP14.

So, can you, please, tell me what controllers are you using?

Thank you for answers.

not sure what else there is other than shuttle pro, etc.,

am looking at various surfaces to use with resolve, of which there are many, but none that i can see that'll work with vegas as well.

I use a Mackie Control Universal Pro which is great. On top of it, it will work with your musical daw.

Contour Shuttle Pro works with Resolve and Vegas. With other stuff too, obviously.

hi there serena,

i've been looking at surfaces that'll give me some grading control, eg. tangent, even looking at the ipad app ;-(

of course $'s is a major consideration...

Hi Leslie, merry christmas!

Back when the dollar was at or above parity I bought the Tangent Elelent Tk Panel, which is very nice to use. The Tangent Ripple looks interesting at a third of the price and I seem to recall a review somewhere -- maybe on ProVideo. I gave up trying to remember all the keyboard short-cuts and bought a DaVinci formatted Logic Keyboard, but of course I still have to know the shortcuts or I'd spend all day hunting for the right key! This has superceded the Contour Shuttle, now that I'm used to using keystrokes.

You mean the Tangent Ripple? It is mappable so it might be useful in Vegas, but I don't know.
