WIDESCREEN DVD

I recorded my video using a Sony Digital camcorder and after I finish transferring it to my computer I want to know how I can make it so my video appears in widescreen view when someone puts it in there DVD player. I want the black borders to be at the top and bottom. Is there a video effect I have to apply or a setting I have to check?

I'd really appreciate as much input as possible.

There are two ways you can go about creating black bars for a DVD. You can use an overlay which will put the black bars at top and bottom. Or you can change your pixel aspect ratio in the project properties from 0.9091 to 1.2121. If you change your aspect ratio you'll have to use the "Track Motion" or possibly the "Event Pan/Crop" to expand the width of your video so it fills the preview window.

Is that understandable?

I got it thanks. I just clicked Widescreen from the drop down menu in the template options under video tab. TRYing to Burn the thing now and I keep getting Power Calibration Error. How gay is that?

I've never seen a Power Calibration Error yet,

but if I heard a gay person talking about it, I'm not sure what I would think. I'd probaly be a little confused as to it's meaning.
