Widescreen with SD Question

Hi Kids -

OK - Here I show my newbieness (is that an acceptable word?).

My camcorder, while SD, allows me to shoot in 16:9 (Sony HC40). I would like to make a DVD that will play on a widescreen TV and use the full screen (no bandings). How would I do this in lates versions of Vegas/DVDA?

Render to mpg2 using "DVD Architect NTSC widescreen" template.

First off, shoot the video in 16:9, hopefully the camera does shoot real anamorphic 16:9.
Then edit using the appropriate 16:9 project settings.
Check that the media you bring into Vegas is flagged as 16:9, check by Rclicking the media and look under Properties.
Encode using the appropriate widescreen mpeg-2 template.
Author using the appropriate widescreen preferences in DVDA.
