Hi,
I have an ATI all in wonder 8500 DV (using the newest Catalyst 2.3 and Capture 6.13 drivers) and I'm seeing something odd when I capture analog video:
In SF VidCap3, if I set the 'Video...ATI Rage Video Capture Capture Properties' Output size to 720x480, the preview window shows black bars on the left and right of the video, as if it were a 640x480 image inset into a 720x480 frame. HOWEVER, if I capture the video, it's a true 720x480 0.909AR clip, full-frame (no black bars).
If I set the capture settings to 640x480, the preview window is full-frame (no black bars) & the captured video is the same.
I just want a sanity check as to why the preview window is showing the black bars even though the captured video does not have it. I wanted to make sure before I start trusting this setup.
Also, can I be sure that the 720x480 clip is being made from a 720x480 source and not a 640x480 source that is up-sampled?
Thanks,
Jon
