wifi hd video playback device: ps3 vs xbox360

I was wondering: which is the best hd playback device: the ps3 or the xbox360. I was thinking of connecting over wifi to the pc drive.
Does anybody of you have a preference? Why? What are the pros an cons of both systems?

(I hope *they* won't censure this thread!)

Hi,

I would choose Xbox because of the price... but if you really want good quality and faster rendering, go for PS3. Also, if you will be playing back HD movies you can forget about Wifi. Wifi wont be able to stream fast enough. I would higly suggest to stick with a regular 10/100/1000 Cat5 and simply pass the cable along a wall if you can't get it in your ceiling or something.

I myself am using my PS3 for HD playback of our family video. Works like a charm and very never drops a playback. Mind that I am using a Windows 2000 server with Tvercity and streaming everything throuh it. It also convert on-the-fly to the proper codec for PS3 to use, so no need to convert your older videos.
