will CD Architect 5 mean a change for Vegas CD writing?

I've also posted this topic in the Vegas forum as well.

I saw this question asked before on the forums but haven't seen a response yet.

Whadya think SOFO? Will the future of CD Burning in Vegas change as a result of CD Architect 5 being released? I've been leery that SOFO will take away some of the CD Writing features in a future version of Vegas.

There's a lot a talk about DVD burning for the future of Vegas. Will this change the present CD writing options in Vegas FORCING us later to purchase CD Architect for Audio mastering?

CDA is an outstanding program however I really don't see a need to drop 150.00 (discounted price for Vegas owners) if I already have Vegas.

I know Vegas may not have ALL of the new added features that CDA has but more than enough for my needs.

My understanding is that all of the existing DAO burn functionality in Vegas 3 will be still be in Vegas 4. Vegas 4 will gain any DAO burn improvements and drive support that CDA5 has, and a modicum of CDA5 features (just some that make sense in a general purpose application; you positively won't see us try to wedge CDA5 into VV4!).

I don't think that's what people are worrying about. Rather the contrary. As long as nothing that could easily be integrated into Vegas is deliberately excluded simply for the sake of differentiating CDA I won't be too unhappy.
