Um I would guess no. Since HD-DVD specs are still being sorted out, even if we could create these discs there is nothing to play them back on currently. I dont expect to see any HD-DVD/Blu Ray support until devices are out for consumer consumption.

IOdata is not a HD player in the sense of HD-DVD/Blu Ray. It does not support H.264 AVC which is what both committees adopted for their formats.

Iodata can support HD resolutions but it doesnt support either HD spec with regards to HD-DVD and Blu Ray.

i meant this -- http://www.broadcom.com/press/release.php?id=659892

these chips are now shpping now first players are hitting the shelves as we speak shortly ..

and some current units (like I/O) are upgradable ..

Sand Video is now also shipping complete chip sets and boards ...

So is STMicroelectronics

but if you want a 264 unit right now -- see here http://www.siemssen-resale.de/
The "SCO 5000ND" DVD player is 99 EUR , but isnt HD only SD (but does play H264/nero)

the I/O should support H264 HD soon ...
