Will not add media

Using the "add media" and selecting from files, the media will not add to Vegas 15 but works perfectly in Vegas 14. Why is this?

I can not see any difference in behavior. The imported media is added to the Project Media window, not to the timeline. I compared VP15, VP14 and VMS15. Has VMS14 behaved differently?

Thank you. Rookie error. The preview screen was covering the Project Media Window!!! Everything was there. Apologies but this may be an object lesson for all other newbies. (Oh for the days of a tape run studio!)
