I woudl make sure that you have the latest version of
Vidcap installed. You can download this off our web site
for free. If that does not seem to help i would capture a
file and see if you can print it directly back out to tape
without editing it. If you can do that then do a search for
the aviplug.dll file on your hard drive and rename the file
to aviplug.dll.bak. Then reinstall Vegas. Then rerender a
small section and try to print it out. If this is
successful rerender the entire project and try to print it
out. Make sure that you have DMA enabled for your hard
drive. Also make sure that when you are rendering the file
out that you are choosing NTSC DV (it sounds like you have
done this already).

Additionally, if you do install the Video Capture update it
is a good idea to uninstall the previous version first.

What is weird is that it was working, and now it is not.
Sometimes I don't even have "Print to Tape as an option.
By not edited, do you mean just captured, or captured, then
rendering as a compressed DV file with no editing? also,
do you thinkit might make a difference if the files are
rendered with audio or not?

I realized that the only thing that had changed was that I
had unchecked the audio option in the custom preferences
for rendering DV files. For some reason, no audio, no
printing to tape. I have to render all my files over again
with audio, but at least I can get them to work.
